DOT/Oregon Department of Transportation Deployment of Alternative Vehicle and Fuel Technologies Initiative

The Deployment of Alternative Vehicle and Fuel Technologies initiative is a joint project of Oregon Department of Transportation and other state DOTs, along with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration. The initiative will implement a series of workshops around the country and develop a web-based “toolkit” for state and local transportation agencies that will facilitate their deployment of alternative fuel vehicle and related technologies.

The initiative also consists of an action-oriented planning guide to help state and regional transportation agencies navigate the stages of engagement on AFVs. The planning guide is based on the 2013 PEV Action Tool, developed by the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions for Washington State Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, and seven other state DOTs.
